Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

DraftProof never reads or stores the text you write. It only records when you type and how large any pastes are — the actual words stay entirely private and never leave your device.

What we collect

DraftProof records the following metadata while you work on a Google Docs document:

What we do NOT collect

How data is stored

All data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own device. No data is ever transmitted to any server, third party, or external service of any kind.

Data is scoped to the specific Google Docs document URL it was collected from. You can view, export, or permanently delete the data for any document at any time using the DraftProof popup.

Data sharing

DraftProof does not share any data with anyone. There are no analytics, no advertising networks, no crash-reporting services, and no backend servers of any kind. The extension operates entirely offline.

Permissions used

No permission is used beyond its stated purpose.

Children's privacy

DraftProof does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since no personal data is collected at all, there are no special provisions required for children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
